HSIWES+ TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE INTERNSHIP CHANNEL

1. Introduction

This document contains all Terms and Conditions for SIWES participants for our Online Internship Channel in HiiT PLC. This is, however, in addition to those of your Institution’s and Industrial Training Fund’s (ITF) regulations in respect of SIWES.

2. Dynamics of our Online Internship Channel
2.1 Your Areas of Specialization (AOS) Courses, Success Enhancing Capacity Building 
trainings and Industry Trending Technologies webinars are conducted online only.

2.2. You are required to sign-in to our Online Instructor-Led Class using a laptop or Desktop Computer as indicated on the Timetable. You are also advised to choose an Internet Service Provider or Data Service Provider best suited to your location to minimize connectivity related challenges.

2.3 During registration on our HOT Portal, www.hiit.ng, you are responsible for your choice of Username and Password to access the Learning Management System (LMS).

2.4 The Class Host will make available the class access Link to sign-in to the Instructor-Led Class at least 30mins before the Class commencement time. Alternatively, Intern can use the Live Class link via the LMS to join the Class.

3. HSIWES+ Training Contents

To succeed in our HSIWES+ Internship, it is mandatory to participate in the following via HiiT Training Institutes (HTI) HiiT Online Training (HOT) portal www.hiit.ng as will be indicated in your Internship Programs Timetable:

3.1 Your Areas of Specialization (AOS) Courses (as you have selected during Registration with HTI).
3.2 Digital Literacy Course.
3.3 Digital Marketing Course.

3.4 Emotional Intelligence Capacity Building webinar (Once Monthly). 

3.5 Entrepreneurship Capacity Building webinar (Once Monthly).

3.6 Industry Trending Technologies webinar (Once in 3 Months).

4. Onsite/Workplace Attendance Requirements

You are required to attend Interactive Sessions for Team Project Activities at your chosen HiiT PLCs branch once every 3 months. See details in your Internship Programs Timetable.

5. Logbook Management

5.1 You are expected to update your Logbook daily based on your accomplishment of our assigned daily activities and submit daily digitally in accordance with our guidance which will provided on resumption.

5.2 Every Intern is to submit his/her Logbook to the Business Manager for necessary administrative action at every scheduled onsite attendance session to his/her chosen HiiT PLC Branch once every 3 Months.

6. Your Institution Supervisor’s Visitation

It is your personal responsibility to make yourself available for your institutionSupervisor’s visit to your registered HiiT PLCs branch. And since the information in this respect is directly to you from your Supervisor, our limited role is to welcome your Supervisor to accomplish his/her official duties.

7. Our Responsibility in respect of Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Statutory Forms
7.1 Student Commencement of Attachment Form (SCAF)- You are to submit your SCAF for 
administrative action by us within two (2) weeks of commencement of your internship.

7.2 ITF Form 8 – You are to complete Part A’ of the ITF’s Form-8 and submit to us to complete Part B, and we thereafter return it to you to submit to your Institution for further action.

8. HSIWES+ T-Shirt and F/Cap and other Souvenirs

You are entitled to a set of HSIWES+ T-Shirt and F/Cap and other HiiT Souvenirs approved by management from time-to-time. You should therefore request for them during one of your onsite visits to your chosen HiiT PLCs Branch.

9. General Behavioral Responsibilities

Interns must adhere strictly to HiiT PLC’s corporate policies which includes decorum, respect for authority, etc. Misdemeanors such as rudeness, insubordination, intimidation of others, forgery and posting of inappropriate content in social spaces are prohibited.
